This is a three working day seminar with 30 hours of instruction. The class will comprise both classroom instruction and practical street work.
The class will be open to Law Enforcement K-9 handlers and supervisors. Limited to 30 handler/dog teams. Spectators, including supervisors are welcome to attend with no limits on attendees.
Classroom work will cover deployments, apprehensions, explosive detection and tactical approaches. Scenario based training offers training in the following areas: deployments in high risk patrol operations, deployments involving water, tactical approaches in building & area searches, vehicle deployments, apprehensions, and proper decoying techniques.
Instruction on proper use of bite suit, hidden sleeve and muzzle. The methods taught in this seminar allow for safer approaches to high risk deployments.
