Tim Braddy

President / Training Coordinator / Instructor

Tim is the founder and president of East Coast Canine. As a veteran law enforcement officer with over 30 years on the job, Tim spent nearly all of that time as an active canine handler at his agency. Early in his career Tim was chosen to be a member of his agency’s first canine unit. Tim would later serve as the department’s canine unit instructor and training coordinator.  Throughout Tim’s law enforcement career he conducted numerous K9 operations with many other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Tim has worked both narcotic detection and explosive detection canines. Over the years Tim has had the privilege of training handlers and canines across the United States and other countries. Tim is a member of the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) and is a Certified Regional Trainer through the USPCA, as well as a Regional Judge.

Tim was previously partnered with K9 Sheriff, K9 Clyde, & K9 Radek. K9 Sheriff and K9 Clyde are remembered for their great service. K9 Radek is currently the retired life!


Tyler Hayes

Vice President / Instructor

Tyler Hayes is an experienced police canine handler with over 14 years of service. He is a certified Law Enforcement Canine Trainer and Law Enforcement General Instructor. Tyler also holds an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the state of North Carolina. Tyler has had the opportunity to train canines and canine handlers for many law enforcement agencies across the United States. In his career he has served as a K9 Handler in the Patrol Division and Special Operations Division of his law enforcement agency. During his time in the Special Operations Division he was assigned to the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT). Tyler has conducted numerous K9 operations with many other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to include: NC Alcohol Law Enforcement, NC Highway Patrol, NC Department of Public Safety, The Federal Bureau of Investigation SWAT, The U.S. Marshal Service, The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and The U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Tyler is a member of the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) where he also serves as a Region 2 trial judge.

Tyler is currently partnered with K9 Boone where they serve in the Special Operations Division of his department.


Keith Morris

Keith was employed with the Tarboro Police Department in 1993. November of 1996, Keith was promoted to K9 handler. During this time, Keith attended two Mid Atlantic K9 schools and certified nationally at multiple United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) trials. Keith retired as Sergeant with the Tarboro Police Department having served in the Patrol Division, Special Operations, and SWAT. Keith is a member of the USPCA and is currently in the process to become a USPCA regional judge. Keith holds a B.S. in Sociology, an Associates degree in Criminal Justice, and an Advanced Law Enforcement certificate in the State of North Carolina. Keith has been training canine teams with Tim Braddy since 2006.

Throughout Keith’s law enforcement career he was accompanied by K9 Sabre and K9 Santos, both of which are remembered for their great service.
