Tim Braddy

President / Instructor / Training Director

Tim is the founder and president of East Coast Canine. As a veteran law enforcement officer with over 30 years on the job, Tim spent nearly all of that time as an active canine handler at his agency. Early in his career Tim was chosen to be a member of his agency’s first canine unit. Tim would later serve as the department’s canine unit instructor and training coordinator.  Throughout the years, Tim has had the privilege of training handlers and canines across the United States and other countries. Tim is a member of the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) and is a Certified Regional Trainer through the USPCA, as well as a USPCA Judge.

Throughout Tim’s law enforcement career he was accompanied by K9 Sheriff, K9 Clyde, & K9 Radek. 


Tyler Hayes

Lead Instructor / Trainer

Tyler has been a sworn law enforcement officer for nearly 14 years.  Along with currently being a canine handler, he also serves as his agency’s in-house canine trainer. Tyler is a certified Law Enforcement Canine Instructor/Trainer and a certified Law Enforcement General Instructor. Tyler has had the opportunity to train numerous canines and canine teams for law enforcement agencies across the country.  Tyler is a member of the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA).  Tyler holds an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the State of North Carolina.

Tyler is currently partnered with K9 Boone where they serve in the Special Operations Division of his department. Tyler was previously accompanied in his career by K9 Taz.


Keith Morris

Keith was employed with the Tarboro Police Department in 1993. November of 1996, Keith was promoted to K9 handler. During this time, Keith attended two Mid Atlantic K9 schools and certified nationally at multiple United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) trials. Keith retired as Sergeant with the Tarboro Police Department having served in the Patrol Division, Special Operations, and SWAT. Keith is a member of the USPCA and is currently in the process to become a USPCA regional judge. Keith holds a B.S. in Sociology, an Associates degree in Criminal Justice, and an Advanced Law Enforcement certificate in the State of North Carolina. Keith has been training canine teams with Tim Braddy since 2006.

Throughout Keith’s law enforcement career he was accompanied by K9 Sabre and K9 Santos.
