John M. Peters is a licensed U.S. attorney. Peters has been instructing police canine handlers, supervisors, and associations on the laws governing canine operations for more than sixteen years. His classes have been taught across the United States and are attended by handlers from around the world who study how U.S. laws might be used as a model for their own nation’s canine programs.
